2011 YEAR AHEAD
2011 - Bridge between two Worlds
During 2010, we’ve been prepared and are unconsciously preparing for momentous changes in every aspect of our lives. Both personally and as a collective, our experiences have been unprecedented. Natural disasters (think the Haiti and the Chilean earthquakes, the Icelandic and Javan Volcanoes, the Russian forest fires) coupled with recurring and unstoppable economic collapse and revolution alongside political upheavals. Every one of us has been affected and had to learn how to ride the moving carpet without falling off.
2011 will lead us across the bridge of transition between this old world of postwar certainties and the new world of globalisation and power shifts such as the yen becoming the world currency standard instead of the dollar. Flexible portfolio working (part time, different jobs) is becoming a necessity and therefore the norm. Gone are the days of a safe job or a lifelong career. We are more able to choose how we work and for how long, way past the old retirement age. The rapid increase in global and personal technologies led by social networking, the internet and mobile phones is giving each of us much more freedom than we've ever had before. There is the freedom to choose whether we stay cocooned safely at home behind our laptops communicating at a distance or whether to go out and make a difference.
NEPTUNE AND CHIRON IN PISCES - A ONCE IN 364 YEAR NEW CYCLE!
| DATES TO WATCH |
| February 9 |
Chiron enters Pisces |
| April 5 |
Neptune enters Pisces |
Birthdays between February 18 - 24 will be attracted to new spiritual practices and want to become involved with groups of like minded people.
Neptune and Chiron have been travelling together through Aquarius in 2010 setting us up with the new technology ready for the next phase of our development. Aquarius is ruled by both Uranus and Saturn and likes to remain aloof from emotions and human contact. In 2011 they both move into mutable water sign Pisces shifting our narcissistic perspective to a much more inclusive world view. This will impact all levels of society. Watch for global charity resources to increase, the breaking down of old religious structures (especially the Catholic Church), rescheduling of 2rd world debt, a proliferation of world seekers meeting in leaderless groups, sharing resources such as homes, equipment and gardens. There will be breakthroughs in healing and medicine with more emphasis on non-linear thinking and thought field energy. (Read Lynne McTaggart's book "The Field " for more information).
URANUS AND JUPITER IN ARIES - BACK TO THE FUTURE!
| DATES TO WATCH |
| January 23 |
Jupiter enters Aries |
| March 12 |
Uranus enters Aries |
| June 5 |
Jupiter enters Taurus |
Birthdays between March 18 - 24 can look forward to amazing changes.
The major shift in 2011 will be outer planet Uranus the Awakener moving across the Aries Point into Aries with Jupiter the Great Benefic. Jupiter then moves quickly through Aries into Venus ruled earth sign Taurus where he feels very much at home.
Birthdays between April 18 - 31 can expect financial and social benefits.
Uranus spends 7 years in one sign sending lightning bolts of crackling cosmic energy to stimulate the sign in question. When Uranus' lightning meets Aries fire, expect fireworks! Aries is the first sign, the Pioneer. Aries trail blazes and experiments with fearlessness. So expect the unexpected. There will be breakthroughs in medicine, technology, natural resources and scientific research. Political unrest will become widespread since Aries is the sign of the individual who will not be cowed by so-called authority.
THE PLUTO / URANUS SQUARE - NOTHING IS FOREVER!
| DATES TO WATCH |
| March 3 |
|
| March 24 |
|
| End of June/Early July |
|
Birthdays between March 18 - 25, December 18 - 28, June 21 - 28, September 21 - 28 can expect important aspects of their lives to disappear.
Just when Jupiter will be magnifying every fire that Uranus lights, Pluto the Great Destroyer starts to form a frictional square (a 90 degree aspect) to Uranus from cardinal Capricorn. This is a long term aspect lasting until 2014. Unlike Uranus, Pluto never acts quickly. Plutonic change is encapsulated by underground movement, underneath the radar of the conscious mind, until an almighty psychological or physical eruption occurs. Pluto rules earthquakes and volcanoes, so expect more cataclysmic upheavals. Since Pluto is now moving steadily through cardinal earth sign Capricorn until 2018 the radical metamorphosis of the world's economies will certainly continue. No government or nation state, no matter how seemingly powerful can resist Plutonic change. (Think about the USSR just before the Fall of the Berlin Wall).
Pluto also rules underground treasure and resources exemplified by fuel such as oil and gas and nuclear reactors. All of these will be the focus of dispute and a holding of the consumer to ransom over the next few years. The ray of hope is that once the Great Destroyer has literally razed to the ground the old ways, new seeds can grow in the newly exposed daylight. There could be out of the box ideas for the creation of sustainable energy resources that will improve the lives of the poorest nations such as Africa and India.
IMPORTANT NEWS FOR EVERY GEMINI / VIRGO / SAGITTARIUS / PISCES - 2011 ECLIPSES MOVE INTO SAGITTARIUS / GEMINI
The metaphor of a bridge between two worlds continues with the North and South Nodes of the Moon moving into a new sign axis. Having spent the last two and a half years in cardinal Capricorn/Cancer they move into mutable Sagittarius / Gemini until November 2012. This means that 3 of 2011's 4 eclipses will impact all the mutable signs (Gemini / Virgo / Sagittarius / Pisces) and anyone with planets in these signs (see your birth chart to see how you'll be affected or order a 2011 Year Ahead Report from my Astrology Shop). Look back to 18.65 years ago in 1993 to see what areas of your life changed direction.
