IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP!
This is a genuinely historic moment to be alive on planet Earth. On March 12th outer planet Uranus, the Awakener, hits the most important degree of the entire zodiac - 0 degrees Aries. To put it into perspective, the last time Uranus was here was in April 1927 and he won't return for another 84 years.

Uranus the maverick
Uranus is a Transpersonal planet meaning that its influence is on generations and the collective. A helpful Uranian metaphor is lightning.
Uranian events happen out of the blue, in a split second and change our old perceptions of the way things are supposed to be in a blink of an eye. Ruler of collective sign Aquarius, its elliptical orbit makes it unique amongst planets.
Aries is the 1st zodiac sign, representing birth. It is ruled by energy planet Mars. Fiery and cardinal it needs to express its power out there in the world with the psychological driver of self-assertion. People with important planets at 0 degree Aries often find themselves thrust into public prominence.
Just as gestation leads to birth, we now need to let go of debris from the past in order to breathe freely. Uranus in Aries will manifest itself more easily in our personal lives, we'll suddenly notice how passionate and determined we are about something. We are impatient with old habits. Our comfort zone is suddenly seen as a deep rut. Aries energy doesn't stop to think. It simply wants something and goes after it."Bring on the new" is the rallying cry. Events on the world stage will be both dramatic and revolutionary. Since Jupiter recently crossed this Aries degree ahead of Uranus as its outrider, everything is being magnified and expanded.

The Uranus/Pluto squares - change is not optional
Jupiter has just squared Pluto providing a lead for the Uranus/Pluto squares (7 in all!) between 2011 -2017.
Pluto known as the Great Destroyer works to collapse systems and situations from the inside out. It is a much slower energy than Uranus, taking 245 years to travel through all 12 signs. Simply because it moves over each degree 3 times very slowly, it has a pulverising impact. It involves forcing each of us to meet the instinctive, destructive and primitive sides of our nature by revealing the dictatorship of the ego. The goal is psychological wholeness. When we emerge from a long transit of Pluto over one of our natal planets, there is always hidden treasure. We become tempered in the fire and much more whole and resilient.
